Disposable protective caps ensure hygienic use without cleaning or disinfecting the sensor, thus preventing cross-contamination. In addition, replacing the Braun protective cap after measurement prevents dirt and earwax from accumulating and blocking the sensor area, which can lead to inaccurate measurement results.
